Wanna Sleep better??

...then put your cell phone down way before bedtime.  seriously.  Cut off Social media scrolling by 8pm.  Turn off your computer and turn off the tv at least 30 min to an hour before you want to go to bed.  Try to go to bed at the same time every night so your body starts to learn it's time to go to sleep.  Try to wake up at the same time every morning.  Your mind and body like routine.   Tips for sleeping better: 1. No tv in your bedroom 2. Use your bedroom for sleep only (no working in your bedroom or watching tv in your bedroom).  3. Decorate your bedroom for peace and quiet.  You should see your bedroom as a place of rest.  4. Plug your phone in OUTSIDE of your bedroom.  Do not take your phone to bed with you, people.   5. Wind down at least 30 minutes before crawling into bed: turn tv off, take a bath, read a book, talk to a friend, pray, read the bible, meditate, journal... 6. My Journey continues...

HI Friends!  Let me reintroduce myself.  It's been several months since I have told my story.  And I have quite a few new followers who don't know who the heck I am! Let me start with the truth!  I am a carb-oholic, a sugar addict, a convenience searcher, a fast food drive through kind of gal.  I want immediate results.  I want instant gratification. I don't WANT to have to do the work.  I want to eat everything I can when it is front of me because I have a fear that I won't get it again.   Where does this stem from?  Growing up in a poor, large (14 members) family.  We made due with what we had, usually eating the same thing over and over and over...a slice of toast for breakfast sometimes with jelly, free school lunch, spaghetti noodles and jar sauce at least 4x week for dinner, boxed mashed potatoes the other days.  If treats were brought into the house on occasion, they NEVER lasted more than a minute, and if you weren't fast enough, you missed ou

From then until NOW

From 175lbs of invisibility  and social anxiety to 140lbs of strength, energy, confidence, and joy.  That is what this Beach Body journey has done for me.  As a coach for the past two years, I have been able to keep that 30lb weight loss a loss.  Prior to this journey, I would lose and gain, lose and gain.  My journey looked like a high speed roller coaster.  I would blend in with the walls, I would avoid most social situations, and I would keep my opinions or wants to myself.   No longer do I dread going out in public.  No longer do I mind speaking up.  No longer do I feel invisible, outcast or worth less.  I am worthy, unique, strong, visible, and loved.  I am loved by myself best of all.   It’s not always the outside appearance that makes you shy away from your passion.  Usually it’s the inner fears and lies you have come to believe that manifest themselves into a physical appearance.   Learn to love yourself, take care of yourself, and talk to yourself like yo
